10:40 Kusasenri *Free lunch (1.5 hours including Mt. Aso Nakadake Crater visit)

Kusasenri, spreading across the northern foothills of Mt. Eboshi, is characterized by its pastoral landscape with vast grasslands, large ponds, and grazing horses. It boasts an area of approximately 20,000 hectares, with a pond formed by rainwater in the center, where cows and horses graze. You can feel the nature of the four seasons and refresh yourself while leisurely strolling.

*Lunch expenses are to be borne by each participant.

Mt. Aso Nakadake Crater

Nakadake, located in Kumamoto Prefecture, is a volcano (1,506 meters above sea level) soaring in the center of Mt. Aso, characterized by its beautiful conical shape. In its massive crater, 600m in diameter, 130m deep, and 4km in circumference, you can see the dynamic scenery and violently rising white volcanic smoke up close. From the summit, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Aso region and its surroundings.

*If an entry restriction notice is issued from Mt. Aso, the itinerary will be adjusted according to the local situation.

*If the crater is closed, the time spent at Kusasenri will be changed to 90 minutes.

12:50 Aso Shrine (40 minutes)

Aso Shrine, located in Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture, is an ancient shrine with over 2000 years of history. Its main shrine and Romon gate are designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan, and among them, the Romon gate is one of the largest in Kyushu and counted as one of “Japan’s Three Great Romon Gates.” It is also known as a cherry blossom viewing spot, with cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring, attracting many worshippers. Furthermore, the crater lake at the summit of Mt. Aso has been revered as “Kami-ike” (Divine Pond) since ancient times and is considered the sacred body of Aso Shrine.

14:10 Kurokawa Onsen (90 minutes)

Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring resort nestled in the natural mountains of the Aso region in Kumamoto Prefecture. It features charming wooden buildings and scattered open-air baths, where you can enjoy various hot springs with an onsen-hopping pass. Its appeal lies in its skin-beautifying waters and seasonal scenery. It is an ideal healing hot spring resort for those who want to soothe their mind and body in a tranquil environment.

*Bathing fees are not included in the tour price.
