Before you head to a Grand Sumo Tournament, I highly recommend attending this show!

The “Sumo Quiz,” conducted in both Japanese and English, is packed with fascinating insights, including questions like, “What does this movement by a sumo wrestler mean?” You’ll discover many interesting facts that even most Japanese people do not know. Watching live demonstrations of sumo techniques right in front of you makes learning about sumo both fun and engaging.

The authentic chanko nabe prepared by a former sumo wrestler is healthy and absolutely delicious! We learned that sumo wrestlers grow their impressive size by eating lots of chanko. Despite their large physiques, they are surprisingly flexible as well. We even saw some amazing leg splits!

In the “Sumo Experience” session, audience members who wish to participate can step into the ring and challenge a sumo wrestler. Since participants wear a protective padded suit, women and children can join in safely and comfortably.

On this day, visitors from Taiwan also took part in the sumo challenge!
Filled with laughter, learning, and delicious chanko nabe, this is a truly enjoyable experience. It is a highly recommended program for both international visitors and people living in Japan alike!
