Aso Cuddly Dominion is a facility where animal lovers can interact with many different animals!
First, we headed to the baby bear “interacting zone”.
There was a small baby bear in a glass room, and it was so cute! ! I could feel the baby bear’s breath when I touched it, and I was enchanted by its cuteness. (This is the only place in Kyushu where you can interact with baby bears.)
In the “interacting zone,” visitors were able to interact with penguins, capybaras, guinea pigs, goats, parakeets, reptiles, and many other animals. (A chimpanzee even came up to me over the wall when I called to him!)
The park is home to 400 animals of 60 species from around the world, living on an area of about 300,000 square meters.
We were also able to feed the bears in “Bear Valley,” where various bears of different species live.
When you skillfully throw food to the bears, they catch it directly with their mouths! Everyone applauded. The beckoning poses of the bears waiting for their treats are also very cute!
It was also exciting to see the bears up close and personal through the “glass bridge” from above.
I also enjoyed the “Animal Performance Show” and the “Mini Pig Race.
(Actually, I often watched YouTube videos of “Pookies”, popular YouTubers with 3.33 million registered users, which is a Youtube unit made up of Kai, a Japanese monkey and Mii, a toy poodle from the Cuddly Dominion, at home! (I’m a sucker for that giggle feeling.)
We also enjoyed a relaxing picnic on the park’s grassy plaza on the way to the park, and it was a fun and satisfying day even for adults.
Next time, I would definitely like to experience the popular “helicopter flight” of the Cuddly Dominion， which flies near the volcanic fumes from the crater of Mt. Aso．
