Enjoy a 360° panoramic view from the top floor of Fukuoka Tower

The 234-meter tall Fukuoka Tower is located within a seaside park. Its entire surface is covered with 8,000 half-mirrors, reflecting the blue color of the sky and the sea by day. By night, the tower’s spectacular illumination makes for stunning nighttime views. Known both for its beautiful exterior and breathtaking views from within, this seaside tower has become one of Fukuoka’s popular must-see attractions.

The observation deck on the top floor offers some 360-degree panoramic views of the sea and sky you simply cannot miss.
From here, you can see the cityscape of Fukuoka and Hakata Bay, Kyushu’s busiest downtown area, with Hakata Station and Tenjin to the east, the waterfront including a yacht harbor and seaside park to the west, and to the south, the cityscape that won the Asian Urban Landscape Award as well as the lush green Sefuri Mountains in the distance.
To the north, Hakata Bay looks out over the horizon where the sea meets the sky, creating a sense of spaciousness that cannot be experienced from the ground.
On a clear day, you can enjoy a magnificent sunset and the glittering night view of the city, which has been selected as one of the 100 Best Night Views in Japan.
In addition, the glow-in-the-dark stones scattered throughout the floor shine like stars in the night sky.
The combination of this fantastic atmosphere and the stellar night views of Fukuoka come together to create the perfect photo spot.
After enjoying the view, couples can enjoy a meal at the glass-walled restaurant in the sky, which also makes an exceptional date spot. (You can also visit the popular Lover’s Sanctuary where a special Key of Love is said to bind couples in love forever.)

A true landmark of the city of Fukuoka, Fukuoka Tower is also known for its artistic exterior illuminations which paint the night sky a rainbow of colors.
The various illuminations throughout the year symbolize both the changing of the seasons, as well as specific seasonal events such as cherry blossom and moon viewing, Christmas, and more.
The tower’s regular illumination, which emphasizes the structure’s triangular design, takes place once an hour to announce the time.
