After learning about Dr. Nakamura (local representative of Peshawar Kai), a doctor who has been working for 30 years in Pakistan and Afghanistan, providing medical care for patients and vulnerable people, as well as pioneering and civilian support,
We will then visit Yamada Weir, which was used as a model for the construction of irrigation canals in Afghanistan by Dr. Nakamura.
For lunch, we will enjoy “Steamed Zoni”, a specialty of Asakura City, followed by a visit to the distillery of sesame shochu “Beniotome”.

Visit to Yamada Weir, the model for the irrigation canal in Afghanistan built by Dr. Nakamura.
Observation and photo-taking of the triple waterwheel that supports Asakura’s abundant water resources. The waterwheel does not rotate during this period.
Take a chartered bus or walk 10 minutes to Harazuru Onsen Ryokan.

Enjoy Asakura City’s specialty “Steamed Zoni” at the banquet of Harazuru Onsen Ryokan.
Take a chartered bus for a 30-minute ride to Beniotome Mino Distillery.

Visit to the distillery of sesame shochu “Beniotome”
